Name: Shadow Le'Creaux Age: at least 112 (Thanks to Freud, he has only aged 12 years since the fight with Black Mage, making him realistically 24.) Job: Bloody Reaper Gender: Male Orientation: Bi-sexual Birthday: 09/27 Type: Warrior (Creative)
Height: 6'7" Weight: Approx. 150 Appearance: His skin is almost as pale as snow, with silvery hair hanging over his shoulders and swept away from his face, Serpentine eyes of a royal blue, giving a piercing gaze. On his cheek is the remainder of what looks to be a burn, across his entire torso are scars of varying size and shape, with one standing out, a large 'X' perfectly aligned on his chest and back, all four points touching it's mirrored counterpart. Clothing: Wears a pair of pure white pants, a thin white shirt and a white cloak. A scythe is always seen over his shoulder, blade a magnificent shade of crimson. Accessories: A pendant appearing to be a dragon's head that's been snapped in half, as well as a crimson bangle on his right wrist.
History: Shadow was born a simple farmers child in the town of Henesys. He was raised as a fine young man, taught to respect the land and the creatures living in it. Though, around his twelfth birthday, the Black Mage had begun to terrorize the lands, and the heroes had started to form.
With his great sense of justice, he told his father he was leaving to go fight for his home with nothing but the clothes on his back and a simple sickle. It was the only thing he was truly any good with on the farm.. The heroes had respected the boys courage, but could not bear the thought of allowing such a child to fight along-side them.
As he watched the heroes leave to recruit others, the boy felt a grudge rising within him.. Was he not strong enough to even scratch a creature in the rising dark army? Could he do nothing and watch helplessly while others fought? "No." The answer was resolute in his mind, a need to prove himself driving him onward.
At first, he only could manage minor wounds to the large opponents he would face with his sickle, him not being unnaturally strong nor the blade being remarkably sharp. In time, he grew to learn to craft his own blades, starting with simple rock edges when his normal scythe had finally broken, and eventually moving up to what he held now.. A blood-red blade created from the bones of Manon, enhanced far beyond any steel by the lava's of the Cave of Trials.
He watched from the side-lines as the five heroes marched toward the Temple of Time. He skulked behind them in the shadows, realizing why they had not taken the boy with them. He could hardly believe how swiftly the armies of the Black Mage had been cut down. He comes from the shadows as the first of the heroes reaches the door hiding the Black Mage. "I want to fight! This is my land, too!" he called to them. The hero couldn't deny the boy after seeing him standing there, so resolute on defending Maple World.
"Fine," the hero said, "but you'd better not get yourself killed." With that, Shadow grinned and walked in along-side them, the first of many battles against the Black Mage. The two put up a fine fight, only to be brought to their knees at the snap of a finger. The Black Mage cursed the hero, but decided he could use the tenacity that Shadow fought with, the fear his fighting style would cause into the hearts of men. He linked his hand to the boy through shining string, making Shadow his puppet-general.
Being under the whim of the Black Mage, Shadow is forced to fight against the heroes he respects so much, nearly taking out each of them, until the Demon Slayer interferes, knocking the boy unconscious and severing all ties to the Black Mage. Being greatly wounded between his fight with the Mage and immediately after, fighting with the heroes, he is badly beaten, barely breathing. Freud places a healing sigil on his body, keeping him trapped in the temple of time, and hopefully untouchable until the healing process is complete.
The sigil works perfectly at it's job, though with such a long time being immobile, after his mind being destroyed by the Black Mage, the boy is left with no memories of his past life, no reminders of his legends. The only thing left is a broken pendant around his neck, and a rusty old scythe near his body.
Home: Currently, Shadow resides in Leafre, searching for pieces of his past.
Favorite Food: Apples, Watermelon Hated Food: Peaches Hobbies: He trains in his free-time, usually, though if he's not, he's admiring nature, as well as collecting seeds from exotic plants. Attitude: He keeps to himself in groups, usually, unless a friend of his is a part of it, in which case he will open himself to that one person and try to ignore the rest. When just around his friends, he will talk much more personally, letting out his feelings and his hopes and dreams, as well as being kind and protective of them. Generally in public, he is either hidden in the background in any way he can find, unless forced to be social by someone close to him. Pros: Energetic, reliable, strong-willed, quick healing, immune to control Cons: Self-destructive, hot-heated, too quick to keep a good footing, weak defensively
Notes: Shadow's body remembers his movements from all the years being in a dormant state, though is much too weak to perform any of them. He still has his scythe, though thanks to the lava treatment, it rusted far sooner than expected and is in need of another treatment to restore it's glory. That said, it is still a nice middle-ground weapon, too hard to break, not sharp enough to do too much damage.
Edit: Shadow has multiple personalities, three to be precise. The one usually in control, the new, uncorrupted Shadow, with his memories missing. The past Shadow, destructive and sadistic, but still a gentleman and kind enough if unprovoked. And finally, the remnants of his time as a general of the Black Mage, only breaking free in situations which involve certain characters, in certain situations. The new Shadow is immune from being controlled from his past self keeping a tight lock on his mind.
Further Edit: Shadow's personalities are nearly the same between the current and past versions, with the exception being that his past self is a bit colder and bloodthirsty. His other, self-named Specter, is a ruthless killer, and even so powerful as to make major physical changes on Shadow's body, and even his weapon. While Specter is free, the body is changed to an onyx black, eyes turning to a hate-filled red, and his clothes becoming skin-tight and also turning black. The scythe becomes a more primal form of a bone-scythe, also becoming twin-headed. It's completely bone-white save for the blades themselves, and have ribcage-like decorations near each blade. He also tends to swing the scythe one handed. Will only free himself when certain people are in critical danger. As Specter, his attacks become more relenting, faster, and his crimson bangle is used to solidify his power into an arm-mounted spear. He is not afraid to use his full power in every hit, opting to kill everything in his path for the sake of protecting his master and those linked to him.
Skills: Shadows skills include: Reapers Fangs, which he plunges his scythe blade into the ground to summon a bladed cage to close in on a single target, killing weaker foes instantly, while doing heavy damage to stronger foes, though it has a one in four chance of lashing back at it's user, leaving it as a last resort.
Red Harvest, which allows him to blink to a given target and cut them from behind, a chance of stunning him after the blink more than half the time.
Bloody Mist, a wicked swing at a large group of enemies, in which the resulting blood is gathered into an energy ball to push the targets away.
Crimson Gaze, a knock into the air with the butt-end of the scythe, followed by a stab along with the users momentum to swing them around and slam them into the ground. High damage, leaves him wide open for any attacks.
Blood-lust, an all or nothing attack. The scythe is swung with as much force as possible at a single target, dishing out extremely high damage but tripling any incoming damage.
RP Sample: With an irritated groan, Shadow trekked through the Cave of Life alone, looking for Horntail. When he finally found a large chamber, he let out a gasp at the magnificent jewel floating on the other side, just thinking of all the ways he could turn that thing into an amazing scythe - the perfect scythe. He 'had' to have it, and when Horn Tail landed from the opening in the chamber, he only grinned in anticipation.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good!
